Under the general direction of the Vice President, Supply Chain – the Director, Supply Chain will lead the division to ensure best in class processes and delivery of aviation material and components as well as medical equipment and supplies. The Director will conduct continuous needs assessment reviews and will develop and implement an efficient, cost effective and safety conscious supply chain management process. This position is responsible for full cycle supply chain management including but not limited to: sourcing, contracting, logistics, inventory, component repair and warranty, vendor and relationship management, and oversight of storing, handling and shipping of all equipment, parts and operations materials. Travels as necessary to meet business needs.

JOB SUMMARY

  • Directly responsible for overall execution of supply chain operations, including sourcing, qualifying and selection of vendors, product inventory/warehousing and distribution of materials and equipment.
  • Utilizes ERP planning system to ensure that item-level forecasts are utilized for internal planning purposes and transitioned to actionable procurement messages
  • Drives organization of full supply chain management processes across a de-centralized network
  • Produces strategic plans to improve productivity, quality and efficiency of logistics and operations
  • Develops tools and utilizes analytics to capture and plan the appropriate the appropriate levels of inventory for current and future demand signals
  • Ensures that best in class industry standards are documented and followed for proper and efficient packaging, product storage and compliance documentation
  • Drives collaboration with all business partnerships'including suppliers, intermediaries, third party service providers and customers
  • Develops and delivers vendor performance metrics. Drives corrective action and recovery efforts for underperforming and delinquent vendors
  • Acts has departmental escalation point for mitigation of all internal and external execution task barriers
  • Ensures there are no material/equipment-related causes for operational bases being out of service
  • Works with urgency on material/equipment recovery efforts, ensuring vendors and suppliers are supporting PO requirements
  • Performs other tasks and duties as assigned in an efficient, effective and cost conscious manner'complying with all PHI Health policies, procedures and regulations, in accordance with the regulatory environment.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in business management or related discipline required; Master's degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in supply chain management.
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience in Aviation.
  • Certification in one of the following: Certified Supply Chain Professional/Certified in Production and Inventory Management/Certified Professional in Supply Management preferred.
  • Project Management/Six Sigma or advanced training preferred
  • Experience with implementing major organizational change, including significant supply chain redesign and operational efficiency improvements.
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility and respect; working with others in a collaborative and solutions focused manner to achieve win-win outcomes.
  • Experience operating in FAA and/or DEA-regulated environments
  • Professional maturity and gravitas.
  • Able to work to deadlines and adapt to changing conditions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and financial acumen are required.
  • Ability to recognize and generate effective and pragmatic solutions to new situations and problems as they arise.
  • Must have a working knowledge of finance and/or accounting in terms of budgeting and cost management.
  • This position is designated Safety Sensitive for purposes of the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act.
