  • Act as a liaison for collection agencies and attorneys for all inquiries and information requests.
  • Assists management with month end reports to include prebilling functions and review of outstanding claims
  • Obtain credit report upon request
  • Perform attachment removals
  • Perform focused payer, program, and employee audits as assigned by management to identify issues to include assistance in correction of issues.
  • Performs payer assigned projects to include management escalations, DOI submissions, appeals and basic collections.
  • Provide account review of all accounts submitted for agency transfer and write-offs to include balancing all programs per PHI policy.
  • Provide on-the-job training for new hires and existing employees with additional training needs.
  • Provides coverage for vacant positions or for any area when production is not meeting expectations.
  • Provides oversight of any payer that is managed outside of existing systems and workflows. 
  • Provides oversight of legal accounts to include state specific research for lien requirements, estate searches and settlement funds.
  • Provides Support in ensuring all prebilling functions are meeting production goals in a timely manner.
  • Recognize the entire scope of an issue and participate objectively towards resolution with other team members.
  • Requires an in depth understanding of compliance, regulatory oversight bodies and payer requirements.
  • Responsible for collections related activities focusing on payer, accounts or programs as directed by management.

  • Must have 5+ years of medical billing and/or collection experience
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must maintain the highest professional and ethical standards in conduction day-to-day business on behalf of Company.
  • Must have knowledge of general office procedures using office equipment
  • Must have PC skills and demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and medical billing software
  • Responsible for supporting company Safety Management System activities.
  • Complying with company HS&E policies and procedures.
  • Understand and provide visible support of Destination Zero.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-placement drug test and background screen.
  • No supervisory or budget responsibilities.
