  • Responsible for establishing performance standards and expectations for Clinical Education Coordinators and monitoring their development, implementation and coordination of standardized national clinical education curriculum and methodology.
  • Responsible for specifying performance standards and expectations for Check Clinicians and overseeing their development, performance, and application of global clinical competencies. 
  • Responsible for ensuring the new hire academy, new supervisor training, clinical initial training, and clinical recurrent training curriculum meets and exceeds all applicable requirements set by regulators, accreditation organizations, policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Responsible for managing all aspects of the new hire academy including but not limited to determining content, setting objectives, establishing appropriate teaching modalities, testing processes, and verifying curriculum efficacy and accuracy.
  • Responsible for managing and overseeing simulation based education and equipment.
  • Responsible for providing subject matter expertise to program leadership and supporting the delivery of regional education and training.
  • Responsible for providing topical presentations on education and training to PHI Air Medical Programs, industry organizations and national conferences.
  • Responsible for the research, development, and application of contemporary evidence based education and training tools.
  • Researching and recommending alternate training methods/technologies for the overall advancement of the Academy.
  • Responsible for supporting the PHI Safety Management System and enforcing company policies and procedures.
  • Manage the Harvard Business School online program and maintain HR Director informed of any changes.

  • Current licensure as a registered nurse, paramedic, respiratory therapist or in a related clinical profession required
  • Certification as a Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) preferred
  • At least 3 years critical care air medical flight experience required
  • Bachelor's degree in education or related field is required.
  • Master's degree in education or related field preferred
  • Demonstrated success in administration and delivery of quality healthcare educational programs
  • Demonstrated success in development and delivery of simulation based healthcare educational programs
  • Demonstrated success in management of clinical competency and proficiency programs
  • Demonstrated success in the management and oversight of learning management systems
  • Previous supervisory experience required
  • Must maintain certifications as per the qualifications guideline
  • Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with leadership and staff.
  • Must be capable of interacting with all levels of PHI employees, contracted employees, and customers
  • Must be willing and able to travel
  • Must have advanced computer software proficiency
  • Must be able to pass pre-placement drug screening and background screen.
